Partnerships and Collaborators

We believe in meaningful collaboration with organisations that are working towards a shared goal of improving patient outcomes, raising health standards and delivering quality health and care services through data excellence, benchmarking and the sharing of innovation.

At the NHS Benchmarking Network, we’re extremely proud to work with a range of brilliant organisations.

Find out more about some of the initiatives and projects that have come from these collaborations…

Zero Suicide Alliance (ZSA)

The NHS Benchmarking Network and the Zero Suicide Alliance (ZSA) have worked together since 2020 to develop and maintain an interactive suicide prevention resource map and dashboard. The NHS Benchmarking Network have partnered with the British Society for Heart Failure to support the 25in25 initiative which aims to reduce 1-year mortality amongst people with heart failure by 25% in the next 25 years. The Network will play a key role in developing a national dashboard which will display and benchmark primary care data, encouraging early identification, prevention and optimal management of the condition.

Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP)

The NHS Benchmarking Network has been commissioned by Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP) to deliver the NACEL audit and the CVDPREVENT audit.

The National Audit of Care at the End of Life (NACEL) is a national comparative audit of the quality and outcomes of care experienced by the dying person and those important to them during the last admission leading to death in acute hospitals, community hospitals and mental health inpatient providers in England, Wales and Jersey.

The CVDPREVENT audit is delivered by NHSBN, the Office for Health Improvement & Disparities (OHID) and NHS England as part of a broader strategic objective outlined in the Long Term Plan to prevent 150,000 strokes, heart attacks and cases of dementia over the next ten years. The audit will prioritise working with system partners to drive CVD quality improvement at individual GP, PCN, and ICS level.

The Scottish Government

The NHS Benchmarking Network established a three year membership arrangement with the Scottish Government which included full participating membership for all Scottish Health Boards and membership for the Scottish Government. This partnership has also extended to a range of commissioned data collections across the Scottish Health system including looking at the implementation of the Core Mental Health Framework, Eating Disorder Services and Neurodevelopmental Pathways.
